Hip replacement
All Hip Arthroplasty is done at Juravinski Hospital or St. Josephs Hospital
Primary Arthroplasty:
- for people with arthritis of the hip that have failed conservative treatment (NSAIDS, weight loss, injections)
- expected to last for 20 years
- done as Day Surgery in healthy patients under 70 yo
- Injections will delay arthroplasty by 6 months
Revision
- for my patients with failed arthroplasty (generally due to wear over 20 years)
