The HOA staff is very passionate about medical education at the undergraduate medical education level.
McMaster medical students are encouraged to set up horizontal electives and/or clerkship electives through their respective pathway.
Non-McMaster medical students are encouraged to visit this website on a regular basis for in-person and virtual learning opportunities.

Fellowship

For Medical Students

MacOrtho’s Trauma and Reconstruction fellowship is learner-centered program where fellows can augment their orthopedic traumatology exposure with additional blocks in complex arthroplasty/periprosthetic reconstruction, shoulder and upper extremity, as well as foot and ankle, with options to customize their fellowship based on practice goals. This is made possible through MacOrtho’s collaborative community of surgeons and several sub-specialty services across various affiliate hospitals.
